Fremont Troll Knoll Installation, Seattle WA

Designed four mushroom lanterns that were installed in The Fremont Troll Knool. The lanterns accompanied a mushroom hunt also installed in the park. I desgined the sculptures and Haiying Wu fabricated them. 2023

 

Tukwila Parks and Urban Artworks, Tukwila WA

Designed and painted a mural at Crystal Springs Park that featured Roger Federer and Serena Willams. Entitled "The Thrilla in Tukwila" 2021

Seattle Spaceworks
Commissioned to create a temporary installation for exterior windows  at the Amazon building.  Created a faux stained glass underwater scene on muslin using theatrical painting techniques. 2014


Seattle Parks and Recreation Department

Commissioned to design and paint a temporary mural at 81st and Greenwood in Seattle. Volunteers helped paint mural over the course of several days. 2014

 

Phinney Neighborhood Association
Won commission in a public vote to design a mural at 63rd and Aurora in Seattle.  Collaborated with Urban Artworks to paint mural with volunteers over two weekends. 2014

 

Seattle Office of Arts and Culture
One of  eleven artists to create a temporary installations.  The piece was comprised of a series of posters, banners and postcards that were located throughout the Seattle Waterfront. 2013

 

Twispworks
Designed and fabricated exterior faux stained glass installation during a three month residency at Twispworks.  The piece was comprised of four major windows that depicted stories of the Okanagans, a local native american tribe. Twisp WA 2012
 

Washington Global Health Alliance and Seattle Center
Artistically represented Washington State Universities International Research and Development project, “Latrine Cap”.  Piece was displayed as part of The Washington Global Health Alliance expo at Mc Caw Hall and the Intiman theater.  The expo was part of Seattle Center’s 50th anniversary.  2012

 

Tacoma Spaceworks
Commissioned to create a video loop and interactive wheat paste installation.  Video loop depicted the water cycle through the images of the Pacific Northwest. 2011 and 2012

 

Edmonds Mural Society
One of five artists commissioned to design and paint a mural for downtown Edmonds. Mural depicted the Edmonds Underwater Park.  2011

 

Seattle Sound Transit
One of five artists commissioned to decorate a star to adorn the wall for the future Capitol Hill Light Link Rail Station.  Created design celebrating the Rosehedge-Multifaith Works organization 2010

      

5th Avenue Theater                                                                        
One of six artists commissioned to do a reinterpretation of Georges Seruat’s “Sunday Afternoon at La Grande Jatte”  The piece was displayed in The 5th Avenue’s Gallery and auctioned off at a black tie gala benefiting the theater.  It was used to promote the play “Sunday Afternoon with George”,part of The 5th Avenue’s 2008-2009 season 2008

 

The University of Livingstonia
Artist in residence for six months.  Designed and painted a mural about the women of Malawi.  Designed and built eight banners commemorating the school and affiliate programs.  The banners were created for the first graduation of the university, a media covered event attended by foreign
dignitaries and the president of Malawi himself.  Designed a graduation cloth with symbols of all affiliate programs.  2007

 

Philadelphia Mural Arts Program                                                                          
One of fifteen Philadelphia artists chosen to participate in a mural arts training program.  Attended workshops and was apprentice on three murals depicting:  African American heroes; a local hispanic community and an imaginative cartoon that was painted on a worker relocation building. 2002

 

Mezalick Design Studio
Designed and painted stained glass windows for churches and cathedrals throughout the United States.  In one project I designed twenty-four windows with scenes from Christian history that were installed in a round sanctuary. Philadelphia PA 2001-2002

 

TJ O’ Conner Elementary School
Invited by the PTA to design and paint four murals for the cafeteria of the elementary school.  Gave a lecture at a media covered event that was attended by the entire school.  Also gave workshops to individual classrooms. Rochester NY 1998
